The APPNA Academy of Medicine serves as the preeminent educational vehicle for North American physicians of Pakistani descent to transfer knowledge, expertise, and innovation to global healthcare systems. We bridge the gap between world-class medical training and clinical practice in underserved regions.

President's Message
A Vision Born from Unity, Purpose, & Excellence
When I assumed the presidency of APPNA in 2026, one question guided my thinking: how do we ensure that APPNA's educational legacy is as strong as the community it serves?
Across our committees — MERIT, RESA, YPC, YPC Canada, and MedConnect — dedicated physician-educators were working tirelessly, but separately. The vision was clear: bring every APPNA educational initiative under one institutional identity. One platform. One standard. One name the world would recognize.
That vision became the APPNA Academy of Medicine.
I am proud this was launched in APPNA's 49th year, and deeply grateful to Dr. Danish Bhatti and the Education Advisory Council for building it into a living institution. The Academy belongs to every physician who has ever learned, taught, or built something through APPNA. Its best chapter is still ahead.
